For me without context I just dont see how this really relates to courage.(2)Oppose the pressures exerted on them and remain faithful to their ideals and themselves. – Kohut I thoroughly enjoyed this academic definition of courage because it communicates that there will be times when you will meet someone (or others) and you will not see eye to eye however remaining true to your beliefs speaks volumes of yourself and your character. I choose this layperson definition of courage because even though it does not specify what type of beliefs it can be said that one will always display actions in what they truly believe in (all round) opposed to just voicing your beliefs.
